[style=font-family: arial black; font-size: 26px; text-transform: uppercase; color: #8699a7; letter-spacing: -2px;]I LEARNED TO LIVE HALF ALIVE and now you want me one more time. and who do you think you are, running round leaving scars, collecting your jar of hearts and tearing love apart? you're gonna catch a cold from the ice inside your soul. so don't come back to me. who do you think you are? "Don't go anywhere." The girl's jaw jutted out somewhat, almost defiantly. Biting her tongue though, she held back from telling Dan what she wanted to. Her face was still stinging from the last time he back-handed her for one of her smart ass comments. "Did you hear me?" he asked her, grabbing her chin and making her look up at him. His hold was tight and uncomfortable, causing her to yank her face away. "Yes..." she said, averting her brown eyes.
Dan stared hard at her for a moment before turning back to the kitchen cabinet, tearing them apart for supplies. Two other men were doing the same, the only other survivors of their group. With a hand on her aching back to support her growing belly, Lilian made her way down the halls of the once cozy farm house. Her brown eyes shifted from one unfamiliar family photo to the next. Pausing in front of one of a newborn baby and mother, she swallowed hard and ran a hand over her stomach.
In all honesty, she was terrified of having the baby, especially Dan's baby. She couldn't even stop him from slapping her around... how was she supposed to keep him from hurting the baby? She was just eighteen years old and for once, she would have killed to have her mother or one of her sisters with her. Just thinking about her sisters made her feel sick to her stomach as tears stung her eyes. She missed Katie more than anything. At night, she still dreamed about holding her dying sister.
Drawing in a shaky breath, she pulled away from the pictures. She didn't even want to think about what was to come. All she wanted was to get away from the sick man that had violated her. Dan was not only much larger than her but was over twice her age. When he wanted something from her, there was nothing she could do to stop him. It was twisted in the worst possible way and not even Lilian could figure out why he liked to keep her so close all the time. It was ass if he had some sort of unnatural obsession with her.
"FUCK!" Lilian jumped at the sound of one of the men yelling and a second later, Dan burst into the hall and grabbed her by the wrist, yanking her back into the kitchen. "What's wrong?" she asked, thinking the worst. The others were over by the window, guns in hand. A truck was pulling up outside, causing Lily's heart to skip a beat. "Looks like another group out on a raid..." Vince, one of the men, said as he spit and continued to chew the tobacco in his mouth. Grimacing, it took everything Lily had not to vomit.
"We were here first..." Dan said, loading his gun. "If they know what's good for them, they'll leave. If not, shoot them in their fucking faces." The others nodded before heading out the back door, their guns on the group that had just climbed from the truck. "Say anything stupid and I swear, I'll knock your teeth right down your throat," Dan said to her, pushing her toward the door.
Choosing not to respond, she followed after the others. She was the only one there without a weapon. Dan wouldn't let her so much as have a knife, probably fearing that she would slit his throat in his sleep... he was right to fear this. Dan and Lily were still catching up, but Lily could hear the conversation going on.
"I suggest you get back in your car and turn back around... our group was here first," she heard one of them say. She honestly wished whoever it was would shoot the men she was with... anything to help her get out of there. At eighteen years old, Lilian was a pretty girl with long read hair and bangs that framed her warm brown eyes. Her body was slender, causing the bump on her stomach to be that much more pronounced.
She was wearing a pair of jeans that were tucked into a pair of warm brown boots. Her long-sleeved green shirt was form fitting and there was no hiding her pregnancy. The poor girl couldn't help but shiver in the cold, having taken her jacket off inside the house. Her cheeks flushed in the cold air as a light wind blew past. Leaves crunched beneath her feet and the sun shone through the barren branches, casting a golden light upon them to indicate that sunset wasn't too far away.
As they grew closer to the two groups, her heart dropped and her blood ran cold. She hadn't seen her brother since before the outbreak. After what had happened to her parents and Katie, Lily had been sure that both Alexander and Cassandra were dead. And yet, there he was, tall and muscular, just as she remembered. The very sight of him made her want to burst into tears. Everyone had their guns pointed at one another and panic rose inside of her.
"ALEX!" she called out, trying to run toward him, but Dan acted fast and grabbed her before she could, forcing her to her knees. She winced in pain, but the noise was cut short when Dan yanked her head back by the hair, making tears sting her eyes. "What the fuck did I tell you?!" Dan growled at her before pushing her forward, almost violently. On her hands and knees, she grimaced in pain.
Leaving her behind him, Dan approached the group, gun pointed right at Alex. "I'm thinking you fellas should leave now..." he said to Alex, cocking his gun. Lifting her head and looking up, there was a pleading and terrified look. 980 WORDS // ALEX // EEK! [/style]

or this is the end let the sky fall[/style] Skyfall is where we start a thousand miles and poles apart where worlds collide and days are dark you may have my number, you can take my name but you'll never have my heart
------------------------------ The beat up old truck bounced along the dirt road toward what seemed to be like a good house to search. Alex was in the passenger seat, the window down despite the chilly air. Two other people sat in the truck of the bed, this time they had two hunters and two scavengers. His leg had finally healed up and the stitches had been taken out a few days ago. He hadn't been happier that he found one of his sisters, or well... she found Henley along with his niece. His spirits had been lifted and now he had something to protect back home and planned on giving these raids one hundred percent of his effort. He was dressed in a grey and green flannel that was buttoned up with blue jeans, black work boots. His rifle lay across his lap and bounced almost innocently while the truck hit its bumps along the road. Alex had aviators covering his bright blue eyes that were looking curiously at the house coming up on the right. "You sure we wanna go here boys?" His voice came out gruffly, it hadn't been used for almost an hour now, he hadn't felt the need to waste the energy on talking. The driver, who was a scavenger nodded and said nothing else before pulling up the grass and driving straight up to the house....
Alex had only been on a few raids before, and on each other those raids the only people he had run into were the men and women he was on the raid with. It was always the virals that had been the problem, so when he heard crashing around in the house as they cut the engine, Alex quickly got into viral killing mode. "Looks like we chose the wrong house." He sighed and pushed open the car door, it flew open with a flick of his wrist. His rifle was pointed toward the ground as the three other men got out of the pick up and stood around all behind the big blond. To his surprise, living men came out from the house with guns drawn. Fuck.
All Alex did was arch a brow at these men, blinking at them through his sunglasses. "Well, this isn't a show down. So I don't think you'll be needing to aim the guns at us." He said, still aiming his gun toward the ground. The hunter resisted the urge to roll his eyes at the territorial bastards guarding the house like they'd never seen one before. The driver of the pick up spoke up, slightly irritated by the whole idea, "The property seems big enough for two parties. You go one way, we'll go another." He said with a growl. Alex only sighed and then threw his rifle up onto his shoulder, letting a smirk fall over his face. "Some men never learned to share, Wrigs." He said with an even bigger smirk. He was just about to turn and leave when he heard the cocking of a gun. He acted just as fast and swung around, aiming his shotgun at he man in the doorway. Then it all seemed to hit him...
He heard a scream to his left and he let his blue eyes lift from the man for a second out of pure confusion. When his eyes landed on her, he was dumbstruck for a moment or two, then he recognized her. Lilly. The same curly hair, the same baby face.. but it was all grown up, more mature and yet instead of the defiant gaze she had in those eyes, they were full of misery. His eyes locked onto her's for a second and then his gaze was torn from her's. His whole body went rigid and suddenly everyone was yelling, his group of men along with the group in the house all aimed guns at one another and Alex stood dumbfounded as his sister was pushed to the ground, hair pulled and then shoved onto her hands and knees. His heart stopped, his jaw fell and he stared on past the man that had hurt Lilly, even as the man came closer to him. Alex saw the stomach, the growing belly and he calculated the last time he'd seen her. He must have been paler than a ghost and looked as if he couldn't handle pressure. His eyes hadn't left Lilly's...
For some reason Alex's brain processed what the man said, and slowly his one hand left the gun so the point slid to the ground. His free hand slowly came up to lift his sunglasses up to reveal his icy blue eyes, his gaze still holding Lilly's. Picking up his jaw his gaze slowly made it over to the man that now stood before him. The shocked look slowly turned into something else. Something that no sister should have to see happen to her brother, it would have probably looked closer to an insane person. The last word the man said hung in the air, everyone's eyes resting on the tall hunter. His eyes harder along with his jaw and quick as lightening he swung with his all his might, the butt of his shoot gun. It collided perfectly with the man's cheek and sent his reeling sideways. Alex saw as a tooth shoot out of the man's mouth along with a mouthful of blood. His eyes then fell to Lilly and closed, knowing what was coming next. The impact of a man's club hit him square in the gut and he doubled over, groaning as his group of men set of fires of guns while the other group started to fire too... For a moment, Lily's eyes just stayed on Alex. The look on his face was one that she had never seen before and whatever was about to come next, Lilian was terrified. The moment Dan was hit, she knew she had to get out of the way before she got hit by a stray bullet.
"NO!" she cried out, the sound of her voice barely audible over the brawling men. She watched as her brother was hit, feeling as though she had just jumped into an ice bath. Stumbling to her feet as gunshots rang through the air, Lily ran toward Dan who was getting to his feet, pissed beyond words as he aimed his gun at Alexander.
Lily's move was a bold one as she jumped onto Dan's back and clawed at his face with his fingernails. Screaming in pain, Dan dropped his gun without meaning to in order to yank Lily's hands from his face. Throwing her off of him, he reeled around and backhanded Lily so hard that she was seeing stars as she fell to the ground. "Fucking bitch!" he said to her before turning back to Alexander. Someone was screaming as if they had been shot, but Dan was intent on doing what he had promised... shooting the tall blond man in the face. 980 WORDS // ALEX // EEK! [/style]

------------------------------ Alex had ended up dropping to his knees, not only from the pain, but also to at least try to dodge the bullets that now went whizzing above him. His ears rang heavily, but he still heard her scream again. It was so different than any other sound he was hearing. It was almost a noise too familiar to not like, despite the fact Lilly had been screaming. He lifted his head to look down the barrel of the man's gun. His blue eyes rose farther in just enough time to see Lilly attack the man. The hunter disregarded his men to defend his sister. Jumping back onto his feet, but it was all too later to save Lilly from being hit again. With a bullet that missed him by inches, Alex stepped forward his eyes darkened with every second that passed. His hands grasped the gun that was hanging in the man's hands, who was now just turning back around after hitting the young woman to the ground. The blond beast held the gun on either end and shoved it toward the man's throat, smashing it right into his adam's apple. As he did this, Alex brought his foot around and yanked it back, taking the man's feet out from under him. His rage had over taken him, there was nothing holding him back now.
He pinned the man down, pressing the length of the gun harder over his throat, choking him... and enjoying every moment of it. "Who's the bitch now, mother fucker?" He growled, his blue eyes menacing. He heard the familiar sound of bullet meeting flesh and he heard one of his men go down yelping. He wasn't coming to get everyone killed, and he certainly wasn't going to let his sister get injured. He leaned forward over the man slightly, his upper lip curling before he pulled back his fist and decked the man, knocking him out in two seconds flat. He snorted with disgust and then stood, brushing himself off. It wasn't until then did he realize the shots stopped. His eyes lifted to see two dead (those both being from Lilly's group) and another was retreating into the house... while the other lay knocked out. One of Alex's men was clutching his shoulder. "Get him in the bed of the truck. I have sedatives in the brown knapsack, get'em stabilized were out of here." He grunted and the two uninjured men jumped into action.
He turned on his heel and went after his sister, scooping her up despite anything she would say or do and just held her while the three men got into the bed of the truck. "I don't know what is happening right now, but you have a hell of a lot of explaining to do." He said this firmly, but you could tell he was on the verge of tears for once in his life. He refused to even let her feet touch the ground. His baby sister, all in one day he found out she wasn't dead, but instead saw she was with child, watched her get beaten and almost shot. His knees felt a little wobbly as he placed her in the passenger side seat, closing the door and checking on the men in the back before getting into his seat. He said nothing, but held onto the steering wheel, took a deep breath then just shook his head. "What the fuck else?" He said, looking skyward and then starting the engine.
They started down the road and Alex gave her his water, his food rations and his flannel off his back, eyeing her whenever she gave him lip about accepting something from him. He hadn't pushed about anything just yet, for fear it would send her to tears, so he decided against it for now. He honestly was twitching with questions, and couldn't think of anything else to talk about than what really didn't need to be spoken about right now.... (IDK words) (Lilly Varden) (O.M.F.G.) [style=font-family: arial black; font-size: 26px; text-transform: uppercase; color: #8699a7; letter-spacing: -2px;]I LEARNED TO LIVE HALF ALIVE and now you want me one more time. and who do you think you are, running round leaving scars, collecting your jar of hearts and tearing love apart? you're gonna catch a cold from the ice inside your soul. so don't come back to me. who do you think you are? Lily scrambled back, watching as her brother pinned Dan to the ground and choked him before knocking him out cold. She was too numb to move just yet, shaking from head to toe. She didn't even try to stop Alex from picking her up, something that was very unlike her. Clutching him, she fought back the urge to cry, not looking back even once as they walked away from the father of her unborn child.
Once inside the car, Lily shivered so hard that her teeth chattered. She didn't want to take the shirt right off of his back, but she didn't argue when she saw the look on his face whenever she tried to refuse. She hardly touched the food he offered, only sipping at his water. She was tentative and scared, that much was obvious.
Lily wanted to tell Alexander everything. She wanted to tell him about their parents and about Katie... she wanted to tell him about what Dan had done to her even, but when she tried to speak, her throat only tightened and she found herself incapable of words. Instead, she pulled her feet up and wrapped her arms around herself. She was thankful for the warmth of her brother's flanel.
"Where are we going?" she finally asked him, her voice low and still hesitant. She had no idea where Alex was taking her or who the men in the back were. Still, she knew that if there was one person in the world that she could trust, it was her brother, especially after what he had done for her. Still, it was hard to trust anyone after what had happened to her since the outbreak of the virus.
With her head resting on her knees, Lily turned her head to look out of the passenger side window. She watched as they passed by fields and trees along with a few stray zombies stumbling around here and there. "I'm sorry your friend got hurt..." A sense of guilt was swelling within her. Once again, someone had been hurt because of her. Katie had died trying to get Lily away from Dan.... Her mother and father had died trying to protect her. Even the others in the car wreck, the summer before senior year, had died because she didn't have the courage to ask them to pull over. Lilian was starting to feel as though she had the touch of death. 980 WORDS // ALEX // EEK! [/style]

or this is the end let the sky fall[/style] Skyfall is where we start a thousand miles and poles apart where worlds collide and days are dark you may have my number, you can take my name but you'll never have my heart
------------------------------ Alex sat behind the wheel in his black tee shirt, his sunglasses were pulled down over his eyes once more to hide the worry in his blue eyes. So many things were happening right now, and he wasn't sure how to handle them. He thought about Cass back at Henley, and he had trouble deciding whether to tell her now that at least one of her sisters was alive, or explain about everything else. Looking in the rear view he saw the boys in the back sitting quickly, the youngest one with the injured shoulder had fallen asleep, and his shoulder looked wrapped up nicely. They didn't have much longer to go before they were at the haven, but the hunter decided it was enough time to at least get things started....
He grunted at what she said and then parted his own lips to speak, "Don't worry about him, he'll be fine. It could have been a lot worse... he could have died.... or have been turned by a zombie." He said with a small sigh, taking his eyes off the road to look at her face for a few seconds. Where were they going? His face finally broke out into a smile and he said, "Were going somewhere safe. Somewhere I wish you had been before I had even gotten there." He said, moving his eyes to watch her stomach. "It's called Henley Falls. I've been there for a few months now, zombies can't get in.. so the people are safe. Houses, food, crops, a hospital and other things help to keep it so we don't have to go out often." He smirked at the thought and then continued, "The only reason I go out is because my new job isn't carpentry. I'm considered a hunter, and the one that got shot is a scavenger. We go out and raid empty places for supplies... much like it seemed your group had been doing." He said rather dryly.
He stopped talking after this, thinking that was enough of a description. His mind wandered back to her stomach and he didn't know whether to be excited or freaked out. She was so young to him, and as much as it was a surprise two out of three of his sisters were alive, he was proud to say he'd be an uncle to two children now. The name felt weird think about, but he found himself not wanting to let little Alex out of his sight, and god knows about Lilly's unborn child. It was an inner protectiveness like that of a father that had washed over him, those kids shared his blood and he wanted nothing more than to protect them and show them how the world wasn't such a terrible place despite the acts going on at the moment.
Once the silence was too much to bare, Alex took a breath and then blurted out, "Cassandra is at the haven... She's been there for weeks now." He turned to her again, peering at her through his glasses. He didn't want to upset his sister, and he almost worried she would work herself up too much over this. They both knew things about they're family that the others didn't, and it was only a matter of time before things hit the fan that Alex didn't know about. (IDK words) (Lilly Varden) (O.M.F.G.) As he spoke, Lily was still, her head remaining on her knees. Somewhere safe... she had always thought home was a safe place. In all honesty, Lilian hadn't felt or even been safe in a long time. Hearing the name Cassandra finally made Lily lift her head off of her knees and look toward her brother. "She is?" she asked, her voice cracking. As much as she didn't want to cry in front of her brother, tears were stinging her eyes.
Swallowing hard, she looked ahead of them at the road. It was growing darker outside, only making Lily more uneasy. She could see Alexander eyeing her stomach, so she let her feet back onto the floor and wrapped his flanel around herself tighter, as if trying to hide her growing belly. It wasn't exactly something she was proud of. She had been weak... she allowed a man to take advantage of her and, because of this, she had to live with the consequences. At least, that was how she viewed it.
Truthfully, Lilian wasn't ready for a baby. She was eighteen years old and completely alone. The only thing she knew, other than the fact that she didn't want a baby, was that she didn't want Daniel anywhere near the baby... even if it was his. Now that she had finally gotten away from him, her worst fear was that he would find her. The very thought of him made her skin crawl with disgust.
For a moment, she contemplated on telling him about Katie and their parents, but she couldn't so much as form the words. It was on the list of the many things she didn't want to talk about. Hell, she didn't even know if she could talk about them. Every time she so much as thought of them, she risked breaking down completely. It took her a moment to realize that tears were streaking down her cheeks and she quickly tried to wipe them away. "Sorry," she said, feeling horrendously weak as she tried to dry her tears. 980 WORDS // ALEX // EEK! [/style]

------------------------------ Alex tried not to let her crying get to him, although as much as he tried, he couldn't. She was never one of those girls who cried all the time, in fact Alex had probably seen her cry maybe three times in his whole life. Lilly was the one to never let anyone see her cry, no matter the circumstances. So seeing her breakdown like she was, even though it was only a few tears was like letting himself breakdown, which he would never do in front of his sisters... ever. He was still quiet after she said sorry, trying to come up with something in his head to make her feel somewhat better. Honestly, he didn't know why exactly she was crying, whether it was out of joy that more than one of her family members was alive and ready to help her, or everything else that was going on in her life right now. The world seemed to be ending and she was going to be bringing a child into the world by herself. Alex didn't know what it was like and probably never would.
He was quiet for a little while longer and then he said while clearing his throat, "Well, your an aunt now too..."/b] He said, keeping his eyes ahead as they came up to the chain linked fence that would let them back through. He thought about the little girl he could call his niece and his stomach twisted somewhat as he got that protective urge again.
Pulling past the front gates, Alex parked the car and slipped out. This would be yet again another failed mission for him with someone injured, but he honestly hadn't been thinking about that with his sister in the seat next to him. All he could think about was how lucky he was. Guards swarmed the area, and Alex quickly explained the story while the men unloaded the injured man and took him off to seek treatment. "You have a foreign body in the truck? " One of the men asked. Alex instantly knew where this was going and he tried to keep his cool. Running his hand through his hair, he sighed. "Yes, she's my sister. Found her with a group of survivors. She wasn't harmed by the infected." He said shortly, but men were starting to surround the truck to pull the woman out. Alex started to panic at the thought of her having to spend the night in that place and he put himself between Lilly and the men. "Touch her and you won't have a hand." He said, his glare seeming to push right through his sunglasses. "I'LL Take her to get a physical. She's with child. Unharmed and uninfected. If you have a problem take it to the Sheriff and blame it on me." He said with a slight snarl before opening the car door and letting his sister out. He shielded her the whole time while they dodged the glances from the guards... (IDK words) (Lilly Varden) (O.M.F.G.) [/style]

Being surrounded by mostly men admittedly made Lily a little nervous and she was hesitant to even get out of the car. She tried to listen in on the conversation outside of the car, but the approaching men were making her increasingly nervous. Her hands shook and there was no way in hell she was going to get out of the car with those men. Her hand started to inch its way toward the lock on the door, that is, until her brother stepped up and everyone noticeably backed off.
Though she was still nervous, she allowed Alexander to help her from the car and stayed by him like a scared puppy as he led her away. She crossed her arms over herself both to hide her belly and to keep herself warm as she averted her eyes from anyone and everyone who wasn't Alexander. "What was that about?" she asked Alex in a low voice, nervously glancing back at the men. 980 WORDS // ALEX // EEK! [/style]

------------------------------ Alex slipped an arm around the shoulders of his tiny sister. He started to lead her toward the hospital and was quiet even after she asked him what happened. He bit the inside of his cheek and then loosened up a bit after they finally were away from the gates. "They were going to try and quarantine you. They do that with every foreign body that walks through the gates, as a safety precaution. " He said this rather dryly, the man didn't have good experiences with that place. He shivered just thinking about it. "And trust me you don't want to end up staying the night there." He pulled his sunglasses off and he eyed a few people that caught a glimpse of his sister's protruding stomach. Sure, this was going to be strange getting used to her like this, that and the fact that she was eight teen, but he wasn't going to say anything until she was ready. His brain was floating with questions, but he didn't want to offend her now that he had her safe.
Stepping into the crowded building known as the hospital, Alex towered over most of the people, thus giving him a better view. "Let's go around back. I can get someone to help us quick so we can get this over with and I can get you something warm to eat." He grunted and twisted through groups of people, his hand holding hers as he guided her toward help.
TIME SKIP
He closed the door behind him, his blue eyes trailing over his now completely changed sister as she looked around the house she'd be staying in. Of course he pulled strings again and fought for her to stay in the same house he and Cass had been in. No one was home, but he didn't fret none. Lily needed to take things slow, he didn't want her stressing out... or at least as little as you could during a zombie infestation. He turned from big bad hunter to big teddy bear brother in a matter of seconds after closing the door. The house he'd gotten offered him peace from the outside world, and it felt like Lily had just been gone on an extended vacation and she'd come back pregnant. "Please tell me your hungry." He called after her, where ever she was as he strode into the kitchen to see what kind of rations they had left. (IDK words) (Lilly Varden) (O.M.F.G.) [/style]

Lily was hesitant to enter the unfamiliar home and did so slowly. Her cheeks were lightly flushed from the cold and she still had Alexander's shirt wrapped around herself. She wasn't just holding onto it for warmth, but for comfort as well. She was honestly happy to be done with the hospital and their never-ending questions. Had she not been pregnant, she would have been out of there sooner. Instead, she was being pestered with questions that she didn't even want to consider. About how far along was she? Was she eating enough? What was she eating? Where was the father? Was there any chance that the father was infected at the time of conception? Her discomfort with the questions regarding the father must not have gone unnoticed, she could tell by the way she had been looked at.
As Alex made his way into the kitchen, Lily seized the chance to look around a little, wondering how Alexander had come by such a place. A part of her couldn't help but wonder where he had been when it all happened.... Why hadn't he gone to them? She didn't want to dwell on that though. If it hadn't been for Alex. she would have still been Dan's little pet.
She jumped the slightest bit when he called to her. her heart leaping into her throat. She was so use to Dan being the one calling to her by now... well, more like screaming at her. "I-I guess." she said, calming down almost immediately. She didn't have to worry about Dan anymore and she had to remind herself of that. Lily was so unsure of herself and what she wanted... so unlike how she had once been.
For a moment, she breathed in deeply and closed her brown eyes, running her hands over her growing stomach. She was terrified of what was to come, but at least she no longer had Dan breathing down her neck or throwing her down anymore. Opening her eyes and letting her hands slide off of her stomach, Lily pulled herself away from observing the room and instead made her way into the kitchen.
She wasn't sure just how much of an appetite she had, but she didn't want Alex to think that she was starving herself or something of the sort. For a moment, she watched her brother in the kitchen and she wanted to tell him everything, but the words were once again caught in her throat which only seemed to tighten as her eyes stung with moisture. "Do you need any help?" she asked him, her voice cracking and giving away her emotions. She felt bad, standing there, while he made her something to eat. She didn't want him to notice how tight her voice sounded or the moisture in her eyes. She wanted to be strong, she wanted to forget about what happened. There was no forgetting what had been done to her though. 980 WORDS // ALEX // EEK! [/style]

------------------------------ Alex had placed a pot full of water on a burner over the stove by the time Lily had made her way into the kitchen. He had a box of noodles and some sauce next to the stove and he was opening the fridge to see what else he could make to fill his sisters stomach. He pulled out a container of what seemed to be soup, he sniffed it and then made a face, tossing it into the trash can. He put another pot on the stove and grabbed a can of soup before turning to her with his icy blue eyes locked onto her face. Her tone was all that distracted him at first but he soon saw the look on her face and he just stared at her for a second before shaking his head slowly. "No, everything is fine. I might not have been able to cook before..." He stopped to eye her up again, "Times had kind of forced me to learn... besides its just soup and noodles." He said slowly, his tone lower than normal.
Turning back to the boiling water he dumped the box of noodles in and then turned back toward her. It only took one more look and he was completely broken in two. "Lily..." He said with an almost longing tone. He hated nothing more than seeing a woman cry, let alone his sister. It took two strides and he was in front of her, wrapping his arms around her. Surrounding her with his warm body, he almost engulfed her with his size. Placing his chin on her head he swayed to and fro in a rocking motion his mother used to do to calm him down. He could feel her tighten up as if she were afraid. It made him recoil slightly, but once she relaxed, so did he. "There's nothing to get upset about anymore. If you think I'm going to let something happen to you now... well you obviously weren't looking when I blew up and almost got shot defending you today." He said, deciding to just shut up now and sway.
The only time he let her go was to drain and prepare the noodles. He coated it in red sauce and let it cool down, only to cling to her again. "Please relax... Fill your stomach, I think that will help settle you." He ended his sentence with a kiss on the top of her head. They could talk later, he didn't want her to explain anything right now. She wasn't ready, and to be quite honest he didn't he was either.... (IDK words) (Lilly Varden) (O.M.F.G.) [/style]

The moment that Alex pulled her into his embrace, the tears finally started to flow down her face. She couldn't recall ever having gripped her brother so tightly. In all honesty, it reminded her of just how tightly her sister had held her after what those men had done. Still, she thought that she was the only one left, that she had lost everything. Knowing that Alex was alive.... it gave her a spark of hope and she knew she couldn't let anything happen to him. She didn't want to lose him like she had lost their parents and sister. Ironic... Lily was in worse shape than he was and she wanted to protect him.
She was reluctant to let him go as he pulled away to fix her something to eat. Wiping at her tears, she watched him and then folded herself back into his strong arms. She nodded her head and sniffed when he spoke, trying to calm herself. She had to calm herself. She had gotten away from Dan and his now dead friends and that was all that mattered. With a sniff, she slowly pulled away from her brother, feeling somewhat ridiculous. "Sorry...." she said to him quietly, embarrassed as she went and took a seat at the table. 980 WORDS // ALEX // EEK! [/style]
