IT'S WHERE MY DEMONS HIDE
Hey there! It's KATE with a new character. I'm currently NINETEEN years old. This new character application is COMPLETE and my lovely new character is played by DIANNA AGRON.
CASSANDRA FAITH VARDEN
(FEMALE) (TWENTY-EIGHT) (HETEROSEXUAL) (NURSE)
THE RELATIONSHIPS
MOTHER: Amanda Varden, deceased
FATHER: Mitchell Varden, deceased
BROTHERS: Alexander Varden
SISTERS: Katie Varden, deceased and Lillian Varden
SPOUSE: None
CHILDREN: Alexandria Rose Varden
PETS: None
OTHER: Joshua Griffith (Alexandria's biological father, deceased), Rebekah Larsen (stayed with after she left Joshua, Jennifer's sister), Jennifer Larsen (best friend, deceased).
THE APPEARANCE
Golden locks fall to Cassie's shoulder blades in straight strands, with bangs that part to the right. At times you can find her hair in curls or other styles as well like, a bun or a ponytail. When working, she usually wears it in a bun to make sure the hair is out of her face. Her eyes are a light hazel brown that shift colors depending on her clothing and sometimes even her mood. For clothes, she's not very picky, but she does enjoy dressing up more than just a pair of jeans and a tshirt. Then, of course, as a nurse she tends to wear scrubs when she is working.
THE PERSONALITY
Motherly and protective, Cassandra was always the one to reinforce rules in her house as well as in school, all while trying to help take care of her siblings. This even pertained to her older brother, which he hardly ever allowed. Cassie had a deep connection to her family and always wanted to be there for them and to help fix everything. She grew up fast maturity wise and would always be the one waiting to give advice. If anyone were to mess with her siblings she would be one of the first to step up about it. Well, when her brother wasn't around to do it. He happened to be protective of them as well.
Growing up, Cassie had been outgoing and optimistic. She loved to meet new people and make friends. She also wasn't afraid to speak her mind. In this sense, she is pretty blunt, telling the truth even if it hurt. However, she tried her best to hold most things back because she didn't enjoy hurting people's feelings. She was empathetic and didn't like to see people hurt. On the optimistic side of things, she liked to find the bright side instead of letting negativity take a hold. Cassie was also a determined soul. She got herself into college when she didn't think it would happen because of financial reasons and she pushed through her relationship to keep her daughter safe until she could find her courage again to leave the man. When her daughter was born, that was her priority, so she was determined to do good by her.
There was a period of time in her life when she had lost hope and that was when she was with Joshua because he kept her from those she loved the most, but when she had her baby girl she saw a spark of it again and after a few years went by, she gained her true personality back when she left, trying her best to push it all away. However, because of Josh, she's not so keen on the physical connection of a man yet and she's afraid of falling for someone again because the last time turned out so horrible. The only good that came from the relationship was her daughter. She does hope to be able to trust a man again someday, but she doesn't see it as of right now.

THE HISTORY
BIRTHDAY: May Twentieth
NATIONALITY: American
Born in a good family on May twentieth, twenty-eight years ago, Cassandra grew up as the second oldest child. First came Alexander, the only brother of the family and he was six years older than Cassie and after Cassie came Katie and then Lillian. While really close to her older brother, Cassie never made it her goal to be closest to a single sibling. What she wanted most was to be close to all of them and that's what she made sure happened. She was also very close to their parents. Growing up, Cassandra was the one to take matters into her own hands. She was very motherly and protective, always wanting to help out with the upbringing of her younger siblings. She did whatever she could to help her mother out around the house and with the kids. Sometimes she even tried to dote on her brother, though that never really worked out in her favor.
Throughout school, Cassandra was the type of person to know a lot of people and have a lot of acquaintances, but lesser friends and only a couple best friends. She enjoyed having a large group of people to talk to, but having those few she could trust wholeheartedly and hang out with outside of school. She wasn't super popular, but she wasn't an outcast, or loner, either. It was easy to say that she was content where she was in her social life during her school years. Toward the end of high school was when she realized what she wanted to study when she went to college, if she was able to get there. Cassie had a dream once she set her mind to it and she was going to do whatever she could to get there. Because her family wasn't the best off financially, she could probably count on some financial aid, but she wanted to make sure she could make it by, so while she was very close to her family, she emancipated herself as soon as she turned eighteen.
It worked, because with her grades and her financial status on her own, which was next to nothing, she received a full ride to Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. It was a good amount of time away from her family, but helping children was her passion and she would do anything to get there. While she was an undergraduate, she made sure to keep in contact with her family and visit whenever possible. However, that changed when she started medical school at age twenty-three.
At the end of her senior year, Cassandra met a guy named Joshua Griffith. After about a month of knowing each other, he asked her out and she accepted. So, they started dating. At first he seemed nice, almost perfect. He met her family and surprisingly got along with them, the exception being Alexander seeing as he didn't like any boys his sisters got involved with, but all in all it went well. They continued dating throughout the summer and Cassie soon fell for him. But little did she know, he wasn't the guy he portrayed himself to be. She had no clue what happened, but he started to become more and more rough with her. There was a lot of fighting and yelling until it got to the point where he started pushing and even hitting. The day she dreaded the most came soon after. Cassandra lost her virginity to the man and not in the way she wanted to. It wasn't completely forced, but it was not a lie to say he pressured her into it. She only went along with it because she was afraid. One thing led to another and Cassie became pregnant.
As soon as she found out that she was with child, Cassandra wanted to leave Joshua. She wanted the baby to have nothing to do with him, but that wasn't the case. Everything just got worse from then on. When Josh heard the news, he tried even harder to keep her to himself and to make sure they kept the baby. He made Cassandra cut her ties with her family and leave them behind. She was to no longer speak to them or let them know of their new family member to come. This hurt Cassie because of her closeness with her family, but she wasn't going to let anything happen to her baby.
On January eleventh of two thousand and seven, Alexandria Rose Varden was born. In order to take care of her baby and still stay in school, Cassie took whatever she could online and attended the classes she needed to at convenient times. A friend of hers watched her daughter at the times she wasn't taking classes. If it weren't for that girl, Cassandra would have never made it work. Also, if it wasn't for her, she wouldn't have escaped Joshua. It took a few years after Alex's birth to gather her sense's and make herself leave the hell hole she was in, but one day when Josh was out, Cassie packed their stuff and left, making sure to leave no clues of where they were going. She knew he would check at Jennifer's house, which was her friend that was helping, so instead she ended up at Jennifer's younger sisters house.
When everything started to look alright again, everything started to downward spiral again. The year Alex turned five, a terrible virus broke out across the states, quickly making it's way to North Carolina. After hearing about it, the girls fled, trying to keep away from it until it just took over their new home. Running was soon all they knew. In their attempt to make it to the safe haven, Jennifer lost her life to the virus and it became a close call for Bekah, but her alone with Cassie and Alexandria made it to the safe haven. It's only been a few days since they settled into the place, but for once they feel some sort of relief since it broke out. Cassie only hopes she can keep her daughter safe and maybe rekindle family ties if any of them are still around. She dreads ever finding out that any of them have died.
