don't get too close, it's dark inside, it's where my demons hide ROBERT HENRY LAWSON Hey there! It's Mercy with a new character, played by Richard Madden. I'm currently twenty years old and live in the eastern timezone. This application is complete. basics GENDER: Male AGE: 25 BIRTHDAY: March 15. 1987 NATIONALITY: American SEXUALITY: Straight PREVIOUS OCCUPATION: Marine CURRENT OCCUPATION: Law Enforcement relations MOTHER: Maria Lawson[deceased] FATHER: Chuck Lawson BROTHER(S): SISTER(S): Amelia and Juliet Lawson SPOUSE: None CHILDREN: None PET(S): None OTHER: None appearance Even as a child, Robert was taller than most of the other boys. Today, he stands around six feet and four inches. His build, though slim, is nicely muscled and well defined. Robert's hair is reddish-brown in color and gets curlier, the longer he lets it grow. He prefers to keep it at a short length, especially in the summer. It's not often that he lets his facial hair grow in, but when it does, he prefers to keep it nicely trimmed. His eyes are a nice shade of hazel, a feature of his that he often gets complimented on. personality Robert Lawson is the definition of overly protective. He's stubborn and doesn't give up easily, a trait that can be as positive as it is negative. Since he was a child, Robert hasn't been the best at showing emotions. Not surprising, considering his upbringing, he is the type to hold in his anger until he explodes. Forget trying to talk to him about how he feels, you would have an easier time talking to a brick wall. Though he shields himself well, Robert is a fair man with a fair amount of chivalry about him. His mother raised him to treat people right and, from an early age, he swore he would never be anything like his father. He's often silent, spending much of his time turning thoughts over in his head. He's a rather intimidating fellow, to be honest, but he wouldn't hurt anyone, unless necessity called for it. There is another side to Robert, one that not many people have the opportunity to see. Beneath his hardened shell, he has a good sense of humor and a charming smile. He's always determined to follow through with his dreams and one day, if he ever makes it out of this zombie land alive, maybe he will. history Robert didn't have the easiest childhood. As the oldest child, a lot of responsibility fell upon his shoulders. Though Robert has always loved his mother dearly, he's held a grudge against her just about his entire life. No matter what anyone said or did, she either couldn't or wouldn't leave the man who had treated her and their children like shit. Robert would often lay in bed at night, thinking about how different life would be if his mother would just find the courage to leave. It never happened though and it never would. Growing up, Rob kept a close eye on his sisters, Juliet especially, considering Amelia seemed to have more of a mind of her own. She rarely needed Robert's help, even when he offered it. More than once, Robert took a beating for one of his siblings, the worst of which being when he wound up in the emergency room at the age of thirteen. His parents told the doctors that he fell down the stairs, a lie that made Robert not only hate his father more, but just made him even angrier toward his mother. No matter how much she tried to make it up to Robert, he just wouldn't forgive her. There were times that he would out right ignore her. She could pretend that they had the perfect life all she wanted, but Robert wasn't going to have any part of it. High school went by for Robert in a blur. He turned to sports as a way to let out his anger. Ice hockey was his favorite. Not only was it the perfect therapeutic tool, but he also excelled in it, to the point that he considered making a living out of it. For one reason or another though, he decided not to. Before Robert had even graduated high school, he was already enlisting in the marines. His desire to get away from his nightmare of a family was growing stronger. The only thing that kept him from leaving for basic training right away was his sister. With Amelia missing, Robert refused to leave until she was found. The fights that erupted during the short amount of time were ground breaking. At that point, Robert had no problem telling his parents that it was their fault Amelia was gone. Robert and his father were going at it just about every night, only this time, Robert wasn't afraid to hit back. When Amelia was finally brought home, Robert wanted nothing more than to skin the scum that had touched his sister. With nothing else holding him back anymore though, Robert was sent to Paris Island for training, leaving Amelia to go her own way and Juliet at home to fend for herself. He didn't leave without a few words to his father though. He swore that if he came back and one hair was out of place on Juliet's head, Robert was going to skin him alive. He didn't have any departing words for his mother, as much as she cried and begged him not to enlist. Robert's first term in the marines came and went. At the beginning of his second term though, he was honorably discharged after being seriously injured in combat. A nearby bomb had nearly killed him. Once he was well enough, Robert was sent home, where he would continue his recovery before starting school. He didn't stay with his parents long, just until he was literally back on his feet. After this, he got himself an apartment and started to attend classes at a local university. When news of the virus started to spread, Robert was at a loss. He didn't know what was going to happen and, once people in his area were infected, he knew that the only thing left to do was get the hell out of there and find safety. Gathering all the supplies and weapons he could, Robert loaded up his car and did the only thing he could think to do: find his sister and mother. The last person to even cross his mind was his father. There was nothing Robert could have done to prevent his mother's death. As much as he wanted to grieve for her loss to the infected, he just couldn't. He loved her dearly, but all that remained now was anger and resentment toward her. All he could do was comfort his sister and drag her to safety. Soon after, they made it to Henley Falls where Robert puts forth his time and effort to keep the peace in the safe haven. He could have gone off to be a hunter, a job that would have probably been more suitable for him, but the last thing he wanted to do was get himself killed and leave Juliet to fend for herself. |
