Hmm, how about the guards have notified the hunters of a horde of the infected that are approaching the perimeter of the community, so the hunters head out to eliminate them. Cole and Elizza could have been paired up? :)

Since they are both hunters I think they would get along. I think their personalities are the same so maybe they wouldn't get into any big fights or anything like that. I think maybe they could be hunting together and Scout isn't that good so Cole could be kind of a mentor.
AMELIA&&SCOUT
I think Amelia should meet Scout because of her abusive past. Scout likes to help people so I think they would get along really well. I think there could be a love thing going on. Well she is four years older than Scout it, but whatever.

Hmm I'm not sure Cole would have much patience for Scout. If Scout isn't very good at hunting, Cole would openly question why he had been given that job in the first place. He would hate having to watch over Scout during an important mission as he would believe that Scout was adding danger to the situation by needing to be watched over by the other hunters. However, if Scout did something on a mission that proved himself to the rest of the hunters, Cole might give him the time of day then and offer to help him if he saw that Scout had the determination.
AMELIA & SCOUT
Amelia isn't inclined to open up to strangers easily and no one is aware of her past besides her family as yet. She wouldn't reveal any information about her past to Scout unless he took the time to earn her trust and was patient with forming a friendship with her. She's a survivor, even before the virus spread, so she would avoid revealing any weaknesses that she think she may have. As for romance, that's the least thing on Amelia's mind at the moment — since she lost her boyfriend to the virus — and I'm planning to explore that part of her eventually with the character of Eobard on this site. So far, Eobard is really the only person who has a chance of winning her affections in the long run. He took her in when she was surviving on her own, they've been on many missions together, have worked side by side and he has earned enough trust from her in order to befriend her.
So there's my take on the relationships, I don't know where you want to go from there, but let me know if you have any ideas :)

I'd like it if Cole absolutely hated Scout at first and Scout hated that so he made it a task to get liked by Cole and become a better hunter. He is a real big perfectionist so he is used to trying to be perfect at everything thrown at him. I think that they could be friends after Scout proves himself to Cole.
AMELIA&&SCOUT
I really didn't think of that xD I just realized that people usually aren't as open as Scout. So maybe they could be just kind of friends that talk every once and a while and have a couple of threads and Scout tries to get her to open up, but she won't which angers him. So they get into a fight then he tries to make it up to her. If that makes any sense.
