don't get too close, it's dark inside, it's where my demons hide Kahlyn lee davis Hey there! It's MYTH with a new character, played by Shelley hennig. I'm currently 18 years old and live in the central timezone. This application is complete. basics GENDER: Female AGE: 17 BIRTHDAY: June 15th NATIONALITY: American SEXUALITY: Stright PREVIOUS OCCUPATION: N/A CURRENT OCCUPATION: Outsider relations MOTHER: Rebecca Davis FATHER: Robert Davis BROTHER(S): N/A SISTER(S): N/A SPOUSE: N/A CHILDREN: N/A PET(S): Spartan OTHER: Victoria Davis (Step Mother) appearance Kahlyn is the spitting image of her mother, or that is Apparently her mother looked just as she did when she was her age. What, with her brown hair flowing in natural curls down past her solders and her deep brown eyes sit just bellow nearly perfectly arched eyebrows. Her completion is very clear. Guess that is another thing she gets from her mother. Her form hides her muscles well. While she isn't a body builder, all the riding and yoga she does keeps her in ample shape. Or, it used to. Now all the running she does keeps her lean. personality Over all, Kahlyn is a very quite person. Even before the outbreak she never talked much. Well, except to Spartan and Rylan. She bottles up her emotions which often causes her to have a huge mantle break down when she is met with too much stress. In fact, the only time she used to speak her mind at all was when someone was mistreating one of her beloved horses. Seeing as that seldom happens now, she has little need to use her words at all. As a child, Kahlyn always used to talk and made friends easily, but she lost that confidence around the same time she lost her father. Not to say she would be rude if she were to come across another human, in fact, she would most likely cling to them, happy she isn't alone in this big, dark, world. Her grip to humanity is her horse, who still remains to be the only thing she talks to. She treats him like gold, often only caring for his health over hers. The truth is that she is scared of losing him, even though she knows that the probity of that grows each passing day. history The first born of Rebecca and Robert Davis, Kahlyn was their dream come true. In fact, it was always Rebecca's wish to have a little girl. It was something she had always dreamed of, teaching the child how to dress, about boys...it was something that the young mother couldn't wait to do. But fate has a way of changing things, and one day, when Kahlyn was just past two years old, Rebecca died in a car accident. The accident wasn't her flat, but that didn't change anything. Robert was devastated by the loss of his true love, but knew that he had someone depending on him. So, he took very good care of Kahlyn after that, raising her to grow into a wonderful girl. He even taught her how to ride horses, just like her mother wanted to do. And while a part of her always longed for a mother, Kahlyn was content with her loving father. Every day since the day she learned how to ride she and her father went on a trail ride. It was the part of the day Kahlyn looked forward to the most. But one day, when she was 11 years old, her father told her that their ride would have to be canceled for the day, and that they were having a special dinner with a special guest. So, while Kahlyn was going to miss her ride, she was super excited for their special dinner, and thoughts of the special guest danced in her head. When they finally sat down for dinner she was surprised to see a woman a bit younger than her father. She had long blonde hair and pretty green eyes. When her father introduced them he said that the ladies name was Victoria, and that she could expect to be seeing a lot of her around the house. At first Kahlyn was confused, but as a month or so went on with Victoria around quite often, she could guess what was going on. Soon her father started to cancel their rides more often than not. When her father gave her the news that he and Victoria were getting married Kahlyn couldn't help but be less than happy. It wasn't that she didn't like Victoria; it was more that she missed her father. She had come to terms with not having a mother a long time ago, and she wasn't sure how this thing was going to go. After the marriage, things changed faster than young Kahlyn could handle. Their house got a major renovation, with only the finest things that people with a lot of money had. Now, the Davis family was old money, so it wasn't an issue, but it was more money than Kahlyn had ever seen her father spend before. And the house wasn't the only thing that changed. Her own father was dressing differently and acting differently, like a stranger she had never met before. And worst of all, Victoria was even changing Kahlyn. She bought her all new expensive clothes and everything. The only thing that Kahlyn could do to get away from this new life was head to the barn and be with her horses. Despite the wants of Victoria, her father refused to get rid of the barn. For that, Kahlyn was grateful, even if the barn also got a major renovation. That wasn't totally a bad thing, as that meant that Kahlyn also got a new horse. He was a young black gelding she named Spartan, and he was the joy in her life. Kahlyn had always dreamed of being a master jumper like her mother was, and Spartan was just the horse to help her get there. When Kahlyn started high school, she already had a reputation for being one of the rich girls. It made certain people like her off the bat just as it made other people hate her and judge her. So, Kahlyn was stuck without any real friends. Not that she was lonely, she had 'friends', that was for sure, but not the kind of real friends you read about in books and saw in movies. She never expected that to change, so she just choose to accept it for what it was. Then, one day when she was 15 she got home from school, she found Spartan's stall door open and her beloved black beauty gone. She ran out in a rush to find him, hoping he hadn't gotten to far. But when she did find him she was shocked to see a rope around his neck attached to the saddle of another horse. Storming up to the other rider, she demanded to know what he was doing with her horse. To her surprise, the other rider was a fellow high schooler, about 2 years her senior. He explained to her that he found the gelding in one of the fields he normally rides in, and so he thought it would be better if he take him in rather than leaving him out all night, fully intended to look around for the owner. Kahlyn was so lost in his eyes she barely heard a word he said. His eyes, and how good he looked in that hat of his. When he said his name and tipped his hat at her Kahlyn was she was going to melt. Turns out Rylan was just what she needed after all. From then on, the two of them started going on rides together. As days, weeks, months passed, the couple grew closer than Kahlyn thought was possible for her. See, they had no secrets, and Kahlyn told him everything about her. Her fears, her dreams, her wishes...it was like she couldn't help it. But, when you're a rich girl in a school full of gossips, news spreads faster than wildfire and soon Victoria found out about Kahlyn's little cowboy. She, of course, disapproved, for fear of her own reputation, and convinced Robert that this cowboy was bad news. When they confronted Kahlyn about Rylan she refused to stop seeing him until they went to drastic measures by threatening to take Spartan away. Kahlyn, in tears, agreed to stop seeing him, but she couldn't help herself. He was her only friend and she refused to lose him. So, she made plains to see him one more time, telling him about all that had happened. So, they met after midnight in the field where Rylan first found Spartan. Kahlyn told him what her father had said and what they threatened. Rylan didn't say anything, just held her as she cried on his shoulder. Then he said something that she hadn't expected. He told her he loved her. He then started talking crazy, saying things about them running away and leaving this place. Kahlyn wasn't sure what to say. Turns out she didn't have to say anything cause when she opened her mouth to do so she saw her father walking towards them. Despite her screams, her father along with the sheriff pulled her away from Ryland. As punishment for her dishonesty, he sent her away to a boarding school in Kentucky. Because he couldn't bear seeing her hate him, he arranged for Spartan to go with her, and for them to be trained by some of the top trainers in the world. But that did little to change her mood, as now all Spartan did was remind her more and more of Ryland. She was at the school for about a year when the virus hit. She was at the barn at the time or else there is no way she would have made it out alive. She took Spartan and the little she had with her and ran, scared to stop. She has spent the last year running and hiding, Spartan loyally at her side. It hasn't been easy, and there are times she wants to give up. The only thing that keeps her going is that horse, and all the memories that come with him. |
