Maverick stands at around 5'9" and weighs in at about 155 pounds. He is starting to loose weight because of the fact that he has AIDS. He is just starting to loose his muscle, so it hasn't been long since he contracted the disease. His hair is a shiny black and his eyes are a deep brown. He has a cocky smile and eyes that scream rebellion. He carries himself proud and confident and doesn't hide the fact at all.

Mr.Raines comes off to be a complete jackass. He only tends to follow his own rules and let's everyone know that. The only reason he is still in the Community is because he is very good at shooting and getting rid of the infected. He tends to play on his own team and doesn't really follow instructions well. Not because he's stupid, but because he thinks he can find a better way to solve the problem. When the World was still working and the infected didn't exist, he flashed his money and used it to buy expensive toys, buy women, drugs, you know: the works. One of Maverick's weaknesses is his cockiness. Because of this, he makes rash decisions and only thinks of himself. He fears dying sooner than expected because of his diagnose of AIDS and becoming one of the infected, like most people these days.

So, once upon a time in the Windy City, there was a woman named Eliza. The girl was a mere 19 when she first started working as a surrogate mother. She had always wanted to be pregnant, but there was no way she could have taken care of any babies at this point. So, instead, she became a surrogate mother for a gay couple, Kyle and Ryan Raines. Nine months later, three baby boys were produced: Kori, Justin, and Maverick. When the three boys were eight years old, their sister Lori was born. Maverick's brother had a connection with their sister, but Maverick was never one to get close with his family. He always seemed outside of it until he started causing trouble at home and in school. After all, the boy got bored and he JUST HAD TO get his fathers' attentions.

Maverick was always the kid that rebelled in school. He ate paste, put gum in the girl’s hair, even set a teacher’s pants on fire in the eighth grade. Ever since he was around 12 years old, he has always been the one to cause mayhem and talk back to anyone and everyone that didn't earn his respect. As he grew up, he learned how to read people to see what things would set them off. He always made sure to hold back when he needed to get something out of someone, whether it be money or drugs.

He started using at around fourteen years old, it happening at a senior party he was invited to. He got drunk at the party and happened to end up at a glass table with lines of coke and a razor blade in his hand. Ever since, he's been addicted and it got him sent to rehab a couple of times by his fathers, twice when he was sixteen and three times when he was seventeen. He kept getting kicked out of rehab because he somehow got a couple of 8 balls of coke in two of the rehabs and kept getting caught in a girl's room with five girls and just him with their clothes off at the others.

Finally, his fathers had enough of his bull shit by the time he was eighteen and kicked him to the streets. He quickly found his way into the Chicago Outfit (The Outfit for short) as an associate and eventually a crime boss as he grew older and his business in smuggling drugs grew. He became rich by the time he was 24 and decided to call up his fathers. When Kyle picked up the phone, he asked him "So Dad, I became rich without going to college. What now?" Of course, he didn't tell him how he got rich, but Kyle knew it had to be something illegal since it was something his son was interested in. "I don't know what you can do now, Maverick. How bout you come by so we can see you." is what Kyle said to Maverick. The next day, Maverick and his fathers sat down for dinner and they talked. However, Maverick grew bored and left after a few minutes. He is never one to just sit down and talk about anything, after all. This farther severed the relationship between his fathers and Maverick and he hasn't talked to him since.

When Maverick was 40, he was diagnosed with HIV and within a year, it turned into full blown AIDS. This terrified him. He never thought he'd be the one to get such a terrible disease. So what did he do? He did an eight ball of coke, had a party, and had sex with some women. Soon, the infection broke out and Maverick had to leave Chicago since it was a breeding ground for the zombies. He went to the East Coast and found the same problem. He heard of a safe zone for survivors and decided the head to Henley Falls, where he currently resides.
