don't get too close, it's dark inside, it's where my demons hide AIDEN MICHAEL CALDER Hey there! It's Mercy with a new character, played by Chris Evans. I'm currently Twenty years old and live in the eastern timezone. This application is complete. basics GENDER: Male AGE: 28 BIRTHDAY: October 17 NATIONALITY: American SEXUALITY: Straight PREVIOUS OCCUPATION: Marine CURRENT OCCUPATION: Outsider relations MOTHER: Jennifer Calder[deceased] FATHER: Elias Calder[deceased] BROTHER(S): Eric and Andrew Calder SISTER(S): Lucille Calder SPOUSE: None CHILDREN: None PET(S): None OTHER: None appearance Aiden stands just over six feet tall, his frame rather muscular. He could be considered rather intimidating feature-wise... if it weren't for his not to intimidating facial features and expressions. He's the kind of guy who smiles often, showing off two rows of straight teeth thanks to nearly four years of braces. His light brown hair is always cut short, and not just because his job requires it. Aiden hates long hair on men, a bias he inherited from his father. Aiden's jaw is nicely squared, his facial hair always either shaved or trimmed. His eyes are a nice shade of blue, accented by his charming smile that is only ever seen when he's around women. personality Aiden is certainly a charmer and has always been a ladies man. Ever since he could talk and walk, he has been sucking up to the ladies and winning them over. Of course, he's also a trouble maker, always pulling pranks. Aiden is certainly not without a sense of humor and is always joking around. He's the kind of guy who knows how to put a smile on someone's face. Everyone has their dark side, even a guy like Aiden. Though Aiden's had an excellent life, being in the marines and seeing people being killed has certainly paid its toll on him. Add the outbreak to that equation and... well, it just makes things worse. Lately, Aiden has been suffering from nightmares and frequently wonders about higher powers. Maybe the virus was sent to earth as some sort of punishment for their sins. Even Aiden can't help but think that the loss of his family is his punishment for having killed so many people. Still, he tries to maintain hope that he will find them. history Aiden was the second born son of Elias Calder, though he was technically his mother's first born son. He wouldn't understand the details of his older brother's early years until he was a little older, but even then, it wasn't like it mattered. Jennifer Calder always treated Eric as though he had been her own, just like Eric treated her like his own mother. There were times that this sparked a certain level of jealousy in Aiden, not because he hated his brother in anyway. As a matter of fact, he looked up to him. Still, he felt as though he were living in his brother's shadow at times because of how well behaved Eric was. Aiden grew up fairly close to his brothers, wreaking quite a bit of havoc with his brother, Andrew. They were good buys though, despite their aptitude for pulling pranks. Aiden was a bit of a slacker in school, as he grew older. It was that he didn't have the ability to do what was required of him, he just didn't feel like it... that, and he would much rather spend his time with the ladies or his friends. By the time he graduated, it was by the skin of his teeth. Not wanting to go into a dead end job or waste more time in school, Aiden enlisted in the marines, much to his mother's displeasure. There were plenty of tears shed the day that he left for basic training, but the day that he returned, before being shipped off over seas... well, Aiden had never seen such a proud expression on his father's face before. Not long after, Aiden was shipped off. During his years in the marines, Aiden had plenty of girlfriends, none of whom he liked enough to stay with. With his lack of the perfect woman for him, Aiden never had an excuse to not serve another term in the marines. His mother was constantly badgering him about grandchildren, but he never found the one. Though Aiden had always had friends, he's never been quite as close to anyone as he was to Tyler Van Helsing, whom he'd met during basic training. The two made an excellent team and there were a number of times that Tyler saved Aiden's skin and vise versa. When the virus hit, Aiden was still overseas. They were pulled out of the now meaningless war and into a much more deadly one, back home. Duty forced Aiden and his team to remain on base rather than flea home to their loved ones. The base wouldn't hold forever though and, after a few months and a false sense of security, the area was breached and it was every man for himself. Aiden knew where he had to go though. He had to head back to Massachusetts, to be sure of his family's safety. He and a few others, Tyler included, headed toward the northeastern U.S., each of them hoping for the same thing. They lost a few good men along the way, but the group stayed strong. While Aiden promised to help Tyler find his family and his fiance, Tyler promised to help Aiden find his own family. When they were unsuccessful in finding Tyler's fiance or his sister and father in New York, they continued to Massachusetts where they were once again let down. The men never gave up hope though. Now, they're continuing the search for their loved ones, more determined than ever to find happiness in a word full of death and grief. |
