I HAVE DIED EVERY DAY Waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more. And all along I believed I would find you. Time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more. Viv let out a breath of air as she she headed out into the cold. Coming out of the rear exit of the hospital, she let the heavy door fall shut behind her. Zipping up her jacket, she couldn't help but shiver. The night was cold and snowflakes were starting to lightly fall from the darkened sky.
After a long day in the hospital, Vivienne wanted nothing more than to head home, where it was warm, and wait for Louis to head home. It often made her anxious to be away from him. After all, he was all she had left. With a blizzard coming in, most people were already warm and inside their homes, though from what Viv had heard, there were still groups out on raids, groups that likely wouldn't make it back until morning at he earliest. If there was one thing that Viv was grateful for, it was the fact that Louis wasn't a hunter or a scavenger.
Stuffing her hands into the pockets of her jacket, she tried to keep as warm as possible. The snow fall was growing heavier as she made her way home, pulling her hood up over her head. She was wearing a pair of jeans, tucked into a pair of black boots. Overtop of a green, long-sleeved shirt, Viv wore a slim fitting, gray hoodie with a faux leather jacket over that. Her hood now covered her long, wavy hair and her cheeks were flushed from the cold air.
A few snowflakes landed in the bit of hair that was exposed beneath her hood. It didn't take long, as she wove through the darkened streets, for her to feel as though someone was watching her. Glancing back, she saw a darkened figure, not far behind her. It could have been anyone, and yet she found herself growing increasingly anxious. Quickening her pace, whoever was behind her quickened their pace as well.
She was being followed. The moment she took a turn, Viv started running and so did he. Too bad he was quicker than her, even after her years of track and sports. Next thing she knew, she was tackled, hard, into the snow covered ground. Dazed, the young woman had the air knocked right off of her as the man got back up and started to drag her by the leg into a nearby alley. "NO!" she yelled, clawing at the ground and trying to kick the man away from her.
"Would you shut up?" he said to her in a low and rather gruff voice. When she could finally see his face beneath his hood, she recognized him. She couldn't remember his name, but he was a frequent troublemaker within the haven. "Don't touch me!" she said as he grabbed her by the front of her jacket and shoved her into the side of a building.
He just laughed at her. "What are you going to do?" he asked, entirely too close for her liking. His face was barely inches from hers and she turned her head, feeling sick. "Stop me?" He chuckled and grabbed her jaw, forcing her to look at him.
"My boyfriend's a cop," she said, trying not to show just how scared she was, though it probably showed in her eyes. "And?" he asked, not giving a single fuck about who her boyfriend was. He was laughing in her face again when she brought up her knee, smashing it right into his package. Seizing her chance she tried bolting from him as he screamed and grabbed his groin, obviously in pain.
She didn't make it very far though. Tackling her legs, he knocked her down. "GET OFF!" she yelled, managing to kick him square in the face. She felt the sickening crunch of bone and, soon, blood was splattered on the snow. "FUCKING BITCH!" he said, spitting out blood and pulling her beneath him by her ankle. "Do you know what guys like me do to bitches like you?!" he snarled at her, so horrifyingly close to her that she couldn't hold back her tears of fear anymore. And it's mine the most loneliest day of my life. Such a lonely day should be banned it's a day that I can't stand the most loneliest day of my life. Such a lonely day shouldn't exist it's a day that I'll never miss such a lonely day and it's mine the most loneliest day of my life. And if you go, I wanna go with you and if you die, I wanna die with you. Take your hand and walk away say goodnight, don't be afraid. --------------------------------- It wasn't even the fact that it was winter that bothered Louis. He loved the snow, it always reminded him of his childhood. Snow was something that just added that extra boost of childlike energy to help you get through the rest of the day. It was the cold that bothered him, obviously you can't get snow if it's warm outside, but the young cop just hated the cold after a certain period of time. Snow was fun, until the cold and wet seeped through your layered clothes and shoes, then he would call it quits and run inside and beg Uncle Jimmy to run out to the store for hot chocolate. It was something they did every year.
Tonight was one of those night that Louis hated the snow, he'd been in it for over six hours now and still had plenty of shift left to cover. His Uncle was on patrol too, but that man had a mount to warm his ass while Louis walked around, his feet numb and his socks so soaked it squished every time he took a step. If he were a child, he would have been inside already and drinking something warm. But this wasn't play anymore, instead of a sled he had a gun, and instead of being over bundled to the point where he couldn't put his arms down, he was pulling his arms closer to his body to retain some heat. A black cap was pulled down tightly over his head, covering his ears and came down just above his eyes.
He walked aimlessly about, seeing absolutely no one on the streets because of the storm that was suppose to come. He envied the people sitting in they're homes all warm and cozy. He couldn't wait to head home himself, wondering if Viv's shift had ended and if she'd still be awake when he'd be home. He walked down a quiet street closer to the hospital and the only sign of life he'd seen was an orange tabby cat who ran across the snow, sliding into the cat door of someone's garage after Louis had spooked him.
The young cop sighed, and a huge puff of smoke slip out between his lips and rose up into the night sky as he continued to walk along. His pace wasn't brisk, but it was't plodding either. He was just about to double back and try to find his Uncle when he heard someone yell.
His head snapped around and his brown eyes dilated as he looked toward the more darkened streets. He broke out into a jog as his heart rate started to pick up. The rookie had only been doing this job for a few months now and the worst he'd had to deal with was an old woman who'd gotten into a screaming match with the ration dealer because she felt the person in front of her had left with more than her. So when he continued to hear a woman yelling he grew more and more nervous. The gun by his side was loaded and it could kill someone easily. He'd never had to use it before, and quite honestly all the training he'd had with the gun seemed to fog up as he got closer to the distressed noises.
He stopped dead in his tracks for a split second when it registered who the screaming was. He didn't hesitate afterward, instead he went running now toward the noise. He skidded around the corner of the street and to the alleyway where he heard them.
His eyes landed on Viv first, then the blood on the snow, and the man that was holding her so close it made Lou's heart skip a beat. "They put them down before they got shot." Louis growled, gun out of it's holster and aimed right at the guy. His brown eyes held a nasty look no one could really see in the darkness of the night. The kid may have been a rookie but he knew he wouldn't miss the target being this close. ### WORDS // TAGS // NOTES [/style]

Time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more. The moment he heard Louis and looked over to see the gun in his hands, the man climbed off of Viv, putting his hands up. "Hey man, I was just fooling around, no reason to get all defensive..." he said, almost nervously. Blood was still dripping from his nose. The moment he was off of her, Viv scrambled to her feet and got the hell away from him. She was obviously shaken, but other than a few bumps and bruises, she was unscathed. She was also freezing though and was hesitant to approach even Louis. She wasn't use to seeing him with his gun out and pointed at someone. Instead, she wound up backing up until her back hit the brick wall, making her jump.
She slowly inched her way down the wall, closer to her boyfriend, as her hands shook. She'd never had something like that happen to her and she shuddered just at the though of what the asshole would have done to her if Lou hadn't shown up when he did. "No harm done man...." the guy said, backing away slowly. He glanced at Viv for a moment, then back to Lou and his gun, before turning on his heel and bolting down the alleyway, scrambling up a fence a little farther down. His shoulders rose high as he took in a deep breath through his nose before he blinked and let his arms fall to his sides with an exhale, his gun dropping along with his right hand. He didn't move until the guy was out of sight, and only then did he put his gun away and turn toward his girlfriend.
Moving over to her quickly, he looked her over for any big injuries, he knew she was shaken up. Who wouldn't be? Despite his cold hands he brought them to her face so he could tilt her eyes toward his. "Please tell me he didn't hurt you?" He eyed her face for a second longer and then helped her stand up, still eyeing her up and down to see if she'd gotten stabbed or something. He was almost glad it had been himself that found Viv, if it had been his uncle, despite the man's years of cop experience he most likely would have shot the guy out of pure rage for even so much as thinking about touching Viv. Now, Louis was protective over Viv, but he didn't have the temper James had. Letting out a jet of steam from his lips as he sighed again he knit his brows together and threw his arm around Viv to try and keep her warmer, she seemed like she was unsteady on her feet too. "Let's get you home." He said this not even thinking twice about his shift, that didn't matter right now anyway.
Once they were in the foyer of the house, slowly unwrapping themselves of the outer layer of clothing, Louis thought his fingers and toes would fall off. The house was warm as it always was, and he continued to eye Viv carefully. She was crying, shaken up and scared. It made him even more mad when he saw the tears coming down her cheeks. Without saying a word he took her by the hand and led her upstairs. He started to run a bath for her, and rummaged around the closet till he found bubble bath stuff... or at least he thought it was. He opened the cap and smelled it, it smelled like Viv so he dumped some into the steaming water.
Lou was stripped down to a tee shirt, boxers and socks, everything else had been soaked and were left at the front door. Placing himself in front of her, he didn't say a word but instead helped her undress to nothing, then placed her in the tub while she sat numbly silent. He sat on the toilet seat with a worried look on his face while he waited for the tub to fill up.... ### WORDS // TAGS // NOTES [/style]

Time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more. Viv could only shake her head when he asked if the guy had hurt her. She could barely even speak, she was in such shock. The moment he put his arm around her, she threw her arms around him, using him to stay steady as he led her back home. He was warm and she felt safe in his arms. Still she couldn't keep herself from crying, as much as she didn't want to cry in front of Lou. It wasn't that she didn't like crying in front of Lou... she just didn't like crying in front of anyone.
Viv was practically numb as she pulled off her hat and jacket by the front door, just letting Louis do whatever. She was too upset to resist him. Hell, she could barely even see through her tears as he led her upstairs and into the bathroom. Though it was hard to relax, even as she slid into the tub, she was at least warm. Her shivering slowly subsided and she let out a shaky breath of air. She hated to even think about what would have happened if Louis hadn't showed up.
Finally, wiping at the tears in her eyes, she looked over at him, sitting on the toilet seat. Though she had calmed for the moment, one thought or wrong word could send her back into fits of tears. With a shaky breath, she continued to wipe at her eyes. "Sorry," she said to him, embarrassed by her display of weakness. The numb feeling was slowly fading and her body was starting to ache from being tackled and slammed around. She just wanted to hold Louis all night and day. She knew she was safe in his arms and she always had known this. "I feel like a blubbering idiot..." she admitted, holding back more sobbing. She laid her head back against the rim of the tub, swallowing hard. [694 WORDS] [LOUIS SHAYMEN] [RANDOMNESS!!!] [/style]
