THE APPEARANCE
Considering aesthetics, Eobard could be thought of as being reasonably attractive, this is largely due to the gift of wonderful bone structure, though he isn't in the best form as of late. He has always been a lithe individual, due to his rapid metabolism, which in the age of consumerism this was considered a gift, now, not so much. Eobard's metabolic rate coupled with a lack of food and stress have seen his features grow gaunt and drawn. This is also the cause for his loss of muscle mass, once a strong and powerful young man, Eobard is a victim of extreme fatigue and is slowly losing body function.
His brunette hair, both facial and that which covers his scalp, is unkempt and well overdue for maintenance. Through some miracle he has managed to keep his oral hygiene in check and is not suffering from any form of gum disease. Eobard is of an average height, he barely making the six foot mark, though he is adamant that he does. As for his eyes, they are brown, much alike his hair.
THE PERSONALITY
Prior to the world falling to ruin, Eobard was the typical sarcastic youth, getting by on his wit and vocabulary, which passed as intellect. Despite fitting the cliched mould and bearing the mantle of the 'alternate' kid for years, Eobard possesses a great many characteristics that oppose this judgement, sure he did have a rather unusual political stance and taste in music but his morals were something of a multigenerational collage. His old school etiquette and chauvinistic tendencies were taught to him by his father, whereas his aversion to violence and other forms of conflict was conditioned by the education system. As for his chauvinism, Eobard does treat women with absolute respect and waits on them, unless of course they are of the rabid feminist variety, this is mainly due to the fact he despises their notion that his gender are both inferior and sexual predators. He liked it better when they fought only for equality, he could get behind that idea.
Once Eobard came out of his shell, disregarding the tiny fraction of females that find him – and his gender – repulsive, he was both friendly and outgoing and this saw him make a large number of friends. Though most of these individuals found him and his personality to be a little peculiar, yet they let this slide due to his good looks and sporting ability. These factors lead to Eobard developing a slight arrogance and vanity, not to mention a competitive side that would ensure that he remained popular among his teammates and the groupies that flocked around the sporting teams he was involved with. He did mature a little when he went to university but these traits are still present.
Besides acquiring the latent fear and paranoia that is natural for an individual living in a hostile environment, Eobar's psyche is otherwise unscathed, well that is if you discount the guilt and violent tendencies.
THE HISTORY
NATIONALITY: Dutch-American
Conceived in the heat of a drunken encounter between two of Holland's greatest minds, Eobard's parents met and sired their only offspring at a medical convention in the late eighties. Destiny and a great many drinks determined that Tjade de Kaizer, a renowned neurological surgeon, would plant his seed in a woman he barely knew, Beatrix van Deijck, a geneticist. The debauched liaison only lasted moments and as the sperm that was to be Eobard managed to find it's way into the uterus to a receptive egg, his mother struggled to navigate to her room. Weeks passed before the growing foetus made it's presence known, and the geneticist made a call to an abortionist. However the woman's decision to end the life of the child she carried was swayed when circumstances akin to divine intervention prevented her from making her appointment. Not only did her car break down but she missed the bus that would have seen her abort her offspring. While Beatrix was hardly a devout subscriber to any religion, she did take her car's mechanical shortcomings and her tardiness as a sign from a higher power and thus carried Eobard to term.
During her pregnancy, Beatrix alerted Tjade to the existence of his loin's fruit, and the man insisted that he be involved in the child's life. While Beatrix was willing to accommodate the man's requests she was forced to admit a truth she had buried from herself, that she was in actual fact a homosexual woman, or at the very least a bisexual with a strong preference for women. Due to this revelation she was unable to grant Eobard the traditional home that Tjade had wished for his offspring and this sparked the first feud between the two, one that resulted in Eobard being bestowed his mother's name rather then his father's and the catalyst for the custody battle that inevitably ensued. Ultimately Tjade was victorious and the infant Eobard was placed in the good surgeon's care, and his mother decided to take a tenure in the United States to distance herself from the pain caused by the separation and the ridicule she received in her professional circle.
For the majority of his formative years, Eobard hardly wanted for anything save for the mother that he never truly knew and the woman his father refused to speak of. Setting the absence of a female role model aside, Eobard's upbringing was fairly mundane, though his academic and sporting prowess were quite above the average, it would have wanted to be considering the vast amount of money his father poured into private tutoring. During his late teens, Eobard received an email from his estranged mother and an offer that appealed to the young man, who at the time was rebelling against his overbearing father, Beatrix was opening her home to her son. Thus came the second great conflict between his parent's and the last time Eobard saw his father or Holland for that matter, once the plane left the tarmac he never looked back.
Years passed and Eobard grew accustomed to his new life in the Americas, though he was never to comfortable with his mother's partner and her erroneous theories on the true nature of gender and the balance of power between them. Spending his late teens biting his tongue, Eobard finally was released from that prison when he went off to school, not returning until he was a qualified dentist, much to the dismay of both his parents. Believing that their son had thrown away his true potential, Eobard's parents came together for the first time since their fervent meeting of genitalia to berate their child. However their plans were cut short by the genesis of man's end, during which time Eobard lost contact with both of his parents. The young man managed to survive the horrors of this new world in a caravan composed of other medical professionals and a few former military officers, the group now nears Henley Falls.
